BusyBusyBuilding

So for Jeff's long weekend he decided we should build Elli and Dameian's playground, which we half way had up..I thought.. So first the big yellow slide had to come down cause Jeff redesigned it all...now its going back up and so is everthing else that was piled up in the yard waiting for us to have a long weekend that wasn't raining. So if you drove down 86th st and noticed the big yellow slide missing..it will be back soon, don't worry.

Jeff got the frame of the main structure built Friday
and we set it up Friday evening. Looks kinda plain...

The kids were over joyed!

We spent most of Saturday getting the top of the yellow slide up
IT WAS HEAVY
got the first section of slide attached and went for a swim and then to bed.
Sunday came and the wind blew very hard alllll day
This makes lifting awkard heavy slide pieces difficult so we worked on the fire truck and "space pod"
We were smart and built ramps to push the pieces up into their spots cause the fire truck is heavier than the slide pieces.

Yay red space pod thing... lol not sure what its called but its got little steering wheels inside for the kids.
Had to take off the fire trucks front wheel to get it up the ramp - tomorrows project will be getting it back on.

Ta Da Fire truck in the air!
It shades the steps nicely.

Today wore us out and my garden kept distracting me, so we stopped building and put up some of the screens on the tower to keep little ones from jumping off, and got the tic tac toe board put on the middle level.
I also planted some grass seed...exciting  : )
So if the winds die down tomorrow we will attempt to put the rest of the yellow slide up, Jeff still needs to decide where he is putting Elli's see saw ~ she told him she wants 3 of them I think he is only gonna give her one.. poor girl.

So the yellow slide was very difficult to lift, and the blue slide goes 6 foot higher..ahhh so were debating if we should even try and put it up mostly cause were not sure how were gonna get it that high. So its either gonna be figure out how to get the blue slide up, put the train where the blue slide would go on the third level, or just leave it as a walk way/platform type thing and not put anything up there. Suppose we'll see.

And if you were wondering.. no I still have not finished Elli's room, I have not decided if I want to paint a white picket fence and flowers or just flowers, I think just flowers would look odd, but the fence will take alot of time which I never seem to have any free of. Plus I went to Hobby Lobby with Robyn this week which gave me more ideas of flowers I could do so I need to get them made..ahh to do list a mile long.

Bed time now  yay!!!

Blue skies

Getting the blue started in Elli's room.
Of course you always have to paint a happy face on
walls when you are painting.

Lookin good! all the easy painting is done ~ now time for the details.

Still got some work do do on the shelves, i think ill paint the back of the
shelves blue and give the shelves and nice fresh coat of white

My two wonderful helpers.
I dont have much to write with this one.. had a good mothers day weekend, sat went and built flower vases at lowes then worked around the house some and watched movies. Sunday slept in made cinnamon rolls and painted Elli's room while  Jeff did laundry :) :) :) then went out back to grill some dinner and get the kids pool ready for the hot days coming up, and then went to bed early. fun fun now if i could just make every weekend that relaxing.

the hills

So last night was Jeff's last night at school for this semester...so therefore my last night to do whatever i wanted around the house without him bothering me! And his two hour test only took him an hour so i didnt have as much fun time as i thought i would. oh well.. it was a successfull evening though, started off with a little laundry and lasagna for dinner followed by strawberry shortcake dessert ~ then moved up stairs to start painting Elli's room, i think it took longer to move all her stuff out of her room than it did to paint the green.

the hill in the corner between the window and desk area casued me lots of trouble

next will be the blue sky and the white fence and flowers

Started with some bright green rolling hills... yes i know some are a little pointy but its hard to make good hills with a paint roller and two kids bugging to help. I plan on smoothing them out better with I paint the blue, its darker so it should cover up the little edges of green pretty well. So im gonna give it a day of dry time and then maybe start in on the blue this weekend if i feel up to it, got alot of garden work to do also. Elli was very excited about the color she kept says wow mom it looks so amazing :) hopefully she likes it when its done too!

Elli informed me we needed to paint Dameians room blue again because she doesnt like his fishes anymore and i need to start over... uh i dont think so miss elli, those took momma a LONG time to paint and outline and i think ill call his room good till hes older and can say he doesnt like it anymore - lol, although i have seen some really cute ideas for car and train boys rooms...tempting.
